Ts. MOHD RIDHUAN BIN HASAN
Before founding Badang Energy Sdn Bhd, the Managing Director began his career with a solid academic foundation—a graduate in Chemical Engineering from University Teknologi MARA (UiTM). He spent over a decade in the oil and gas sector, building his expertise across multiple domains including project execution, structural fabrication, offshore operations, and civil engineering. His early roles gave him extensive hands-on experience in site coordination, vendor engagement, technical problem-solving, and managing project timelines under pressure. These years not only refined his leadership qualities but also gave him a deep understanding of ground-level operations in the engineering and construction sectors.
In 2017, armed with technical knowledge, industry insight, and a clear vision, he took the bold step of establishing Badang Energy Sdn Bhd in Kemaman, Terengganu. Like many new ventures, the beginning was modest—without a strong financial backing or a large client base, the early phase required perseverance, resourcefulness, and a commitment to long hours. Operating from a small office with a lean team, he focused on securing minor contracts and building a reputation for reliability and quality, especially within local networks.
The real turning point came through consistency in delivery, strict adherence to safety standards, and the trust earned from early clients. Over the years, Badang Energy gradually expanded from handling small civil works and structural maintenance jobs to executing full-fledged fabrication, shutdown, and offshore support services. Under his leadership, the company steadily built its technical workforce, acquired critical machinery, and achieved compliance with major industry standards.
By 2018, as the company matured, the Managing Director shifted focus from survival to sustainable growth. He strengthened corporate governance, expanded partnerships, and led strategic diversification into civil infrastructure projects. Today, Badang Energy stands as a trusted local contractor with regional reach—serving clients in oil and gas and industrial sectors—driven by the same passion and resilience that defined its humble beginnings.
With nearly two decades of cumulative experience, the Managing Director continues to chart the company’s strategic direction, ensuring it remains adaptable, competitive, and grounded in integrity.
MAHAZER BIN AHMAD
The Project Director of Badang Energy Sdn Bhd, Mahazer Bin Ahmad, brings over 25 years of experience in engineering, project execution, and operations management within both the oil & gas and construction sectors. With a Diploma in Engineering Business Management from University Teknologi Malaysia and a foundation in architectural drafting, he has cultivated a career rooted in technical precision and strategic leadership.
Throughout his career, he has held key roles across various reputable engineering firms, steadily rising from mechanical designer to operations manager. His expertise spans fabrication maintenance—topside, offshore hook-ups, shutdown management, and platform projects—both onshore and offshore. These capabilities are backed by a strong background in fabrication and were developed through involvement in numerous high-stakes projects for clients such as Carigali-Petronas and other major players in Malaysia’s energy industry.
Mahazer is known for his hands-on approach to project planning and execution, exceptional coordination of manpower and logistics, and a results-driven mindset. His strong grasp of material tracking, site verification, and engineering drawing adds tremendous value to Badang Energy’s technical capacity. In addition, his past experience in sales and marketing provides a unique perspective on client engagement and business growth.
As Project Director, he currently leads the execution of Badang Energy’s key infrastructure and energy projects, ensuring that each initiative meets stringent quality, safety, and scheduling standards. His oversight bridges field operations and strategic planning, enabling cross-functional teams to deliver complex scopes with precision and accountability.
With a calm, seasoned presence and an ability to mobilize resources efficiently, he plays a critical role in ensuring project timelines, safety compliance, and cost-effectiveness—making him a pillar of strength in Badang Energy’s operational leadership. Outside of work, he enjoys engaging in sports—particularly golf—and maintains a balanced and active lifestyle.
